INGREDIENTS
BUFFALO MEAT PATTIES:
- 600 g buffalo meat, coarsely minced
- Flower of Sel
SAUERKIRSCH-CHUTNEY:
- 500g cherries (glass)
- 1 piece of vanilla pod
- 1 lime (zest and juice)
- 100 ml white balsamic vinegar
- 75g cane sugar
- 1 TL Honig
- 10g grated ginger root
- Salt, pepper, chilli flakes
ADDITIONALLY:
- 4 pieces Brioche Buns
- 4 slices of cheddar
- Salad
PREPARATION
- Season the minced meat with salt, form 4 patties and chill.
- Place the cherries and their juice in a saucepan and simmer over low heat until the liquid thickens; this can take up to an hour. Grate the lime zest and add it to the cherries along with the juice. Mix in all the other ingredients and finally season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
- Cut the buns in half and grill the cut surfaces coated with butter.
- Remove the patties from the refrigerator and cook them. Flip them over and top with cheese. Cook for approximately 2 minutes per side for medium and 3 minutes per side for well-done.
- Top the bottom half of the bun with lettuce, then add the patty with cheese. Spread a generous amount of sour cherry chutney over the buffalo meat patty. Then top the buffalo burger with the top half of the bun and serve.
