A classic reinterpreted: Caprese made from gourmet buffalo mozzarella with thin slices of a sweet and juicy orange. Once you've tried this, you'll never eat mozzarella with tomatoes again!
INGREDIENTS
for 2-4 PERSONS:
- 500g Buffalo Bill Buffalo Mozzarella
- 2-3 organic oranges
- fresh basil
- Pepper Symphony
PREPARATION
- Remove the buffalo mozzarella from the bag and cut into thin slices. Peel the orange and also cut it into thin slices.
- Now layer the orange and mozzarella slices alternately on a plate or a wooden board and place the orange core from the cutting board on top.
- Now mix olive oil with balsamic vinegar in a ratio of 2:1, add some salt and pepper, a small spoonful of mild mustard and the juice of an orange and mix the ingredients into a homogeneous dressing.
- Spoon the dressing over the orange and mozzarella slices and refine with sea salt and symphony pepper. It's best to let the dish sit for a few minutes so that the flavors of the dressing can fully develop.
- As a side dish you can choose between a piece of good bread or a delicious buffalo rib eye fresh from the grill.
Bon appetite!
